Born in California, Irene moved to Sweden as a young child. She received her M.A. in Art History from the University of St. Andrews, where she wrote her dissertation on Eva Hesse and was active in the student radio. She married her two interests of verbal and visual storytelling to build a career as a producer in New York. Since 2007, she has worked across the spectrum of independent film, TV, commercial and print, taking the same professionalism and panache to whatever stories she’s bringing to the screen.

She has worked with iconic talent including Ellen von Unwerth, David LaChapelle, Nicole Richie, Parker Posey, Martha Stewart, and basically the entire cast of Love and Hip Hop. As a network producer Irene has had the pleasure to work on Emmy Award winning series such as RuPaul’s Drag Race, Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, as well as notable productions such as MTV’s VMAs and Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.

Her goal as a producer is to make sure that productions are creatively exciting and financially viable. This combination of professionalism and a love of the medium has won her a (Daytime) Emmy Nomination, a couple of Clios, and premiere at Sundance.
